m friend goes i will have to have Microsoft XP to do that and i will have to delete my Vista Software to exchange it for an XP in order to download my Word software??
is that true??
what will happen if i download it to my Vista?
thanks
Not true at all. Stick with Vista. The operating system as a rule does not govern what other software you have. Vista is the latest on the market of Microsoft's operating systems and is well in advance of XP. Keep to it. With regard to 'downloading' Word, I presume you are talking about downloading trial versiomicrosoft xp software downloadn of Office direct from Microsoft's site, unless you have already bought it. If your friend though has XP version of Word, to be able to read anything you produce in Word you will either have to save it in 1997-2003 format - easy enough - or she will have to download - completely free - the compatibiity suite from Microsoft which will enable her to be able to open 2007 files in her 2003 version.
It should work normal you can go on google and do some research but i think it should not be a problem.

It should work fine as long as its later than word2003. Alternatively, you could always download the similar openoffice. That's a free download that works the same as Word
Unless your version of Word is VERY old, it should work just fine on Vista.
I downloaded Microsoft Word on my Vista laptop and it works just fine.
