the earth and moonHas man ever been anywhere else off earth besides the moon?

Also why haven't we ever gone back to the moon? So we get there and we just decide never to go back?
No. The reason why we havent returned back is because it is not worth the risks and costs involved. We can send rovers which do just as much if nor more than a human being. The reason why we did it in the past was because of the competition the US had with Russia as part of the Cold War. Now a days, it is not worth it.
Humans have never gone anywhere beside the moon, although there are tentative plans to launch a Mars mission sometime within the next few decades.

There are a few good reasons why we haven't gone back to the moon:

* The first thing to consider is why we went there in the first place. The main motivation was basically to prove that we could do it, and most importantly to beat the USSR to it. Once thothe earth and moonse were achieved, interest was lost.

* The other motivation for going there was scientific research. Unmanned robotic probes, however, do this far better than a human mission could. The human missions only lasted a few days. A robot can roll around on the moon for months or even years. And humans need to bring food, water, oxygen, and so forth. Robots can use all that space for scientific equipment.

* Finally, it costs a *lot* of money to send people to the moon. Nobody's willing to fork it out at the moment, especially when a) we are already in debt and b) robots are so much cheaper.
There was once a myth of one being in your moms bed, juss'sayin.
Various Earth orbits.
Man has been in low earth orbit and to the moon and back. Presently we only go into low earth orbit to the space station and back or to repair satellitethe earth and moons and such.

The reason we stopped going to the moon is that we had achieved what we set out to do initially (send a man to the moon and bring him back safely), but lacked the collective passion and drive to want to continue exploring the moon with inhabited missions. In short, it was too expensive.

Since there is no gold or other easily accessible extremely valuable mineral on the moon, we basically lost interest, collectively I mean. I do hope that we will send others to the moon and other bodies in space. Mars seems like the prime target for the Americans. I would like to see more probes exploring the moons of Saturn and Jupiter with some plans for a manned mission in those parts of the solar system.
Nope just the moon and Earth Orbit. Costs a lot of Money to send men to the moon.
