I need to get adobe shockwave flash player for ubuntu jaunty. How ddo I do this ?? What Can I type into the terminal. The Adobe Shockwave Flash Player does not download for my operating system. I have wine but I don't know how to work flash player (if i download it) with it.

For example
In the top right hand corner you will be prompted to install the Flash plugin.
Click on that and there will be several options. Select the Adobe option then enter your password and the installer will take care of the rest.
Once Flash is installed restart Firefox and thats it.

Your in for a long day. Ubuntu is more for the experienced computer users. A lot of windows programs (like Java) are a pain to install in Ubuntu.
Adobe usually tells you how to install it's applications on their site, try looking for that.
First thing is first, download the Windows version of Firefox.
Next, download shockwave for Windows and install it.
